Job DescriptionThis opportunity is part of the US Technology Solution Readiness team where our mission is to deliver limitless technology solutions that make our Guest experience convenient and fabulous, and enable Crew, Managers, and Owner Operators to Run Extraordinary Restaurants! Our technology powers all 13,000+ US restaurants and enables restaurant teams to serve millions of customers daily!
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Technology Platform Manager to lead multiple technical projects in support of the restaurant technology platforms in the US McDonald’s market. This role oversees our system platform for restaurant servers and devices to support our critical restaurant applications. This role will also be involved in how we manage the provisioning, re-imaging and OS platform/software for emerging technology that McDonald’s is currently deploying in the US market. The role plays a critical piece in leading the team that is developing the device scripts, drivers, VM’s and new technology platform initiatives that are needed to run our restaurants efficiently.
The Sr. Platform Manager is also a people leader and is the owner of implementation decisions for the products. The ideal candidate will be results and measurement driven, an exceptional communicator, and exhibit collaboration and influencing skills that cultivate a collaborative and continuous improvement environment.
Key partners include US Owner Operators, Operations Technology Professionals (“OTPs”), internal business areas such as Operations, Global Technology, Legal, and many others. Close partnership and active management of strategic technology vendors is critical to success.
This position provides the opportunity to establish relationships with a variety of McDonald’s product owners, suppliers, and franchisees. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities that’ll be good for those that are quick to adapt while looking to experience various technologies.

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260- $190,310 per year

5+ years of relevant professional work experience in technology related field
3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Product Manager eliciting/defining requirements, designing systems solutions, and leading business and technical requirements
1+ years of experience with agile development methodologies
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements to translate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience developing solutions that provide high levels of resilience and scale
Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable teammate
Experience collaborating with team members in a large global matrix org structure
Understanding of software development principles and background, specifically around SDLC process, prioritization process, intake, backlog management and well versed in project management practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
Experience working in McDonald's restaurants or equivalent QSRs
Desire to work in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
Ability to balance multiple priorities optimally
Bachelors Degree in a technical subject area is highly desired
Technical background, including an understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, IoT devices, containers, cloud platforms, and system architecture is highly desired.
